Preparation of ceria polishing powder.
In recent years, with the development and application of new rare earth materials, ultrafine ceria powder has been found to have new properties.
The manufacturers of rare earth polishing powder indicate that cerium oxide is prepared by solid phase sintering, liquid phase, gas phase and spray pyrolysis.
Solid state sintering is a traditional preparation method of ceria polishing powder. It is a method of preparing products through high-temperature solid-state reaction.
For example, Cerium Oxalate CE2 (C2O4) 3.10h2o is prepared by mechanical solid-state chemical reaction of chlorination and oxalic acid at low temperature. After winding, CE2 (C2O4) 3.10h2o was decomposed at 400 ℃ for 2h after thermogravimetric analysis and differential thermal analysis. Yellow ceria with particle size of about 80 nm, spherical surface shape and cubic crystal structure can be obtained.
Solid state sintering has the advantages of large output and simple preparation process, but it is generally less used because of its disadvantages such as high energy consumption, low efficiency and easy mixing of impurities.
